William Sawalich earned the pole position for Friday's General Tire 150 at Dover Motor Speedway with an ARCA track record speed of 161.812 mph.

Driving the No. 18 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, the 17-year-old from Eden Prairie, Minn., is the defending ARCA Menards Series East champion.

Today's General Tire 150 is a joint ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series East race. 

Brent Crews will start second, followed by Gio Ruggiero in third, Carson Kvapil in fourth and Lavar Scott in fifth.

The previous speed record was by set by Taylor Gray on April 29, 2022 (160.915 mph).

Green flag for the General Tire 150 is set for 5 p.m.
