Speedway Children's Charities (SCC), established in 1982 by Speedway Motorsports, has been dedicated to improving the lives of children in need across the United States.
The Dover Motor Speedway chapter (SCC-Dover) is one of 11 chapters nationwide, focusing on supporting Delaware and mid-Atlantic-based nonprofit organizations that assist children. Since its inception, SCC has distributed more than $72 million to charitable organizations, ensuring that children are given the tools to build a better, brighter, and healthy future.
At Dover Motor Speedway, SCC-Dover hosts several annual fundraising events to engage the community and support local children’s charities. These events include Laps For Charity, Monster Mile After Dark Tours, Track Treasures trailer items and memorabilia auctions.
Laps For Charity
Laps For Charity events offers fans the unique opportunity to drive their personal vehicles on the iconic Monster Mile. In 2025, three sessions are scheduled:

Saturday, May 10: Participants can take five laps for $75 or opt for an eight-lap VIP session for $125. Additional experiences include riding as a passenger in the pace car for $50 and capturing a photo in front of the Monster Monument for $25.

Thursday, July 17: Participants can take five laps for $75 and/or ride as a passenger in the pace car for $50.

Saturday, October 4: Participants can take five laps for $75 or opt for an eight-lap VIP session for $125. Additional experiences include riding as a passenger in the pace car for $50 and capturing a photo in front of the Monster Monument for $25.
Participants are encouraged to pre-register their vehicles to ensure priority access. Walk-up registrations are permitted but may experience longer wait times.
Monster Mile After Dark Tours
The Monster Mile After Dark Tours provide fans with an exclusive, behind-the-scenes experience of Dover Motor Speedway under the evening sky.
These guided tours offer a unique perspective of the track, allowing participants to explore areas typically restricted to the public.
Your group can see the following exclusive locations:
- Inside and on the Monster Monument
- Walk the banking of the Monster Mile
- Victory Lane
- Infield Media Center
- Monster Bridge overlooking the backstretch and the Turn 3 entrance.
- Spotter stand over the frontstretch
- And more!
Track Treasures Trailer
The Track Treasures trailer is a treasure trove for NASCAR enthusiasts, offering a variety of memorabilia, collectibles, and one-of-a-kind autographed items.
Available during select events, such as Laps For Charity dates and the July 18-20 NASCAR tripleheader weekend, fans can purchase mementos, clothing, and advertising banners near the Monster Monument.
Memorabilia Auctions
SCC-Dover organizes both live and online auctions featuring exclusive NASCAR memorabilia and experiences. These auctions provide fans with the chance to bid on unique items, with all proceeds benefiting local children's charities. Details about upcoming auctions, including dates and featured items, are regularly updated on the SCC-Dover website and DoverMotorSpeedway.com.
Through these engaging events, SCC-Dover not only offers fans memorable experiences but also raises essential funds to support children in need. In December 2024, SCC-Dover donated $90,000 to 20 Delaware and mid-Atlantic-based organizations focusing on the health, safety, welfare, and development of children.
